When almost everyone within the projected path of a storm begins to evacuate, the Operations team is putting the final touches on the plan to move into the projected path. Before the storm, our team is securing reservations at multiple hotels in many different cities. Crew members begin packing for an unknown amount of time away from home....

Attendees at last week’s National Apartment Association Conference in Las Vegas woke up happy. Participants were also eager to participate in the ‘Wake Up Happy’ contest. They wore the ‘Wake Up Happy’ Interstate shirt for their chance to win $100. And although temperatures soared to 100 degrees,...

It’s a special day when people come together for a good cause. And that’s just what happened last week when Interstate Restoration’s clients and vendors participated in our 7th annual golf charity tournament in Colorado. We raised more than $34,000 for the Denver 20/30 Active Children’s Foundation. Amazingly, two records were set that day at Bear Dance Golf Course—one of Colorado’s most challenging courses. Highlights included a first ever hole-in-one on...

As a parent of two small children the word “no” is all too often a part of my vocabulary. But why do I and many others find it so had to say no to a client or potential client? Too many times people in sales say “we can do that” -- only to regret it later. Saying no to a job and a potential client is one of the most difficult aspects of business for many people. There are many reasons why it is so hard to say no to work: The fear you may not get another chance with...
