More Hurricane Activity In The Next Two Weeks
Expect above average hurricane activity over the next two weeks, according to the Tropical Meteorology Project at Colorado State University.
Apparently Hurricane Irene was only the start of things to come. Tropical Storm Katia is expected to quickly turn into a hurricane in the Atlantic. Forecasters predict the storm will have a “long westward track”. The National Hurricane Center is watching storm activity mounting in the western Caribbean and gulf. And models are already hinting at more activity sweeping in after Katia in the next 7-10 days.
