The Latest Hurricane Prediction

William M. Gray (Professor Emeritus of Atmospheric Science) and Phil Klotzbach (Research Scientist at Colorado State University) have published their latest Atlantic hurricane predictions for the remainder of 2012. Many people will be relieved to hear that the team is predicting a quiet end to what has already been a very “mild” hurricane season. They are predicting only a 48% probability for at least one major (category 3-4-5) hurricane to make landfall on the entire U.S. coastline after July 31st, 2012.
