Maintaining Core Operations
Service: Emergency Response Restoration
Situation:
Westmont College in California experienced more than $10 million worth of damage from a nearby forest fire (Interstate worked on $1.35 million). The force of the Santa Ana winds caused major soot and ash damage to 53 buildings on the campus.
Solution:
- Interstate worked closely with Risk Management and various departments to establish a plan to return students back to school while keeping core operations and faculty working
- Emergency services, including deodorization and clean-up, were critical to protect the health of the students and faculty
- Interstate worked nonstop to complete the project. All 53 buildings were fully operational within 3 weeks allowing students to return to school quickly
“The quality of the work was outstanding, and they [Interstate] set the standard for future renovation projects in New Orleans in terms of professionalism, quality, and timeliness. They consistently exceeded expectations.”
